How many newsletters are you signed up to? Quite a few we’d imagine. On top of those you do read, you likely have another dozen on the reading list that you’d like to check out, but never quite manage to get around to reading…
In this world of information overload, we are here to help curate some of the best spaces on the internet for women like us.
Other than our fabulous own newsletters, we’d love to share with you some highly recommended publications that we think you’d love.
Here is a list of amazing women-created newsletters in the space of tech, media, investment, feminism and entrepreneurship.
Check Your Pulse
Check your Pulse is a tech and startup newsletter, defined by founder Sari Azout as “designed to make you feel human.” Azout shares critical thoughts on online advertising, unpacks the confusion of NFTs, and speaks to personal experience.
The newsletter has been discontinued, as Azout know works full time on Startupy, however some 60+ issues are still up online.

Liz and Mollie
Liz Fosslien and Mollie West Duffy are here to teach you about workplace culture and organisational development with cute and easily-accessible cartoons.
Their email newsletter comes out every few weeks with tips on how to make your work life healthier (especially when working from home!). It’s a great opportunity to check in with your work life and your work satisfaction. Both authors have impressive academic and professional backgrounds. Their tips are also supported by research, though communicated in an entertaining way.

Lolita as a Service (LAAS)
LaaS is an online service run by Lolita Taub, a successful early venture investor. The service is aimed at supporting founders and investors working on community-driven startups.
The newsletter (and her website) is full of free resources about investment, funding ventures, plus an investor-matching tool which connects you to investors in your field. The website is definitely worth a look if you need generic advice on startups, as it’s full of cheap educational courses which can be completed online at your leisure.

Femstreet
Femstreet brings you tech news and the inside on startup operations within a weekly email newsletter. Their content is written by and for founders and startup operators with a focus on investment (alongside all the other tasks of running a business). It may sound serious and high-tech, however the newsletter also touches on more everyday but extremely valuable topics, such as the importance of talking about pregnancy at work.

LiisBeth
LiisBeth is a Canadian nonprofit media hub for feminist entrepreneurs and social justice activists. They describe their media as a vehicle for transforming the economy which supports “norm-busting enterprise founders.” LiisBeth publishes new media with feminist perspectives on entrepreneurship, including reimagining business norms to accommodate for feminist values.
Their monthly newsletter contains editorial content and profiles of feminist change-makers.
Who is their newsletter for?
Anyone who is passionate about making a change! It’s not just for self-proclaimed entrepreneurs, but also for artists, community organisers, activists and policymakers of all genders.

Gloria
Gloria is amazing! Described as a newsletter for women who aren’t yet old, but aren’t still young, Gloria is the perfect mix of funny, educational and serious news.
You can dip in for some specific advice or for a simple book recommendation and end up reading for hours about the difficulties of ideological differences. It’s just great.

Girls’ Night In
Founder Alisha Ramos shares the media and experiences which brought her comfort on her nights in during a highly stressful period of her life.
These days, we are all overworked and time-poor. The newsletter focuses on taking care of yourself by scheduling time for relaxation and enjoyment. Her newsletter is a shared discussion on media discoveries, ideas and articles that she thinks others would enjoy. You can spend the time reading celebrating what’s going on in the world, while retreating into a safe space to recharge yourself.
